Hi! I’m Lara, a 17 year old student from the UK.
16 year old TEDx Speaker driven by curiosity and a love of learning.
I've has long wrestled with a personal tension: in a world that rewards early specialisation, what happens if your interests refuse to fit into one lane? Many young people feel anxious about their futures, pressured to narrow their options too soon. As AI reshapes the job market, she argues that adaptability, curiosity and the ability to connect ideas across disciplines may matter more than credentials alone. In a world transformed by AI, Lara makes the case that generalists could be exactly what the future needs.

I study Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics at A level, alongside pursuing a deep interest in AI and technology. I often reflect on the philosophical questions tech raises about our future.
I also absolutely love creating communities and leading initiatives that help others grow. At school I’ve led Code Club, Upskill Club, and I’m now the founder of ‘Changemakers Live,’ a conference inspired by the concept of TED.
I run a small online stationery business and as a part of the Young Entrepreneurs Forum, I help shape the UK’s business landscape for young people.
